Deep loathing for myself for liking this
My friend John sent this along to me with the note, “This guy has great comedic timing.” I trust his opinion about comedy and films so I checked it. He linked me along to YouTube to check out a show with a title so low brow, i almost didn’t play it. It’s not like me to enjoy low brow humor unless it’s done intelligently (ie, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, National Lampoons from the 70s - early 90s).
Down syndrome actor Josh “The Ponceman” Perry stars in a series of short films (all under 2 minutes each) called the Retarded Policeman. And as bad as it sounds, it’s actually a very well made series. It’s funny, clever, and it’s true, Perry has spot on timing with humor. Opposed to crap like the Wayan Brothers’ films, they take topics far but not far enough to be asininely mute of point. These shorts are, for lack of a better term, funny. Enjoy.
