Too many 9s to count..and on the same day
Nine and 9 on 9, 9, Oh 9. And the German readers think I’m telling them “no.”
That beautiful film we showed the trailer for last week, 9 is being released September 9th, 2009. In short. 9 is being released 9.9.09. Clever, right? We thought so. Specially since it’s a movie that looks drop dead gorgeous. And with a power house team like Timur Bekmambetov and Tim Burton on the producing team and Shane Acker’s visionary feature will come to life with a great success.
So, Junk, what’s the problem?
It would seem that a Daniel Day Lewis film being released the same day.
I can see you’re still asking, “what’s the problem here? Tons of movies are released on the same day.”
Ah yes, they are, indeed. And sometimes, albeit rare for two movies to come out the same year with the same title, but on the same day is simply unheard of.
Daniel Day Lewis is starring in a film about a film director trying to juggle professional life and family life in a…..musical?….titled <em Nine. Great. Two movies coming out on September 9th, 2009, called Nine or (9). Imagine the horror for ticket takers and theater houses that weekend.
IMDB is calling Nine to be released on Dec 11th, but I have seen too many screw ups on IMDB to call full faith on release dates that far in advance.
Let’s hope one of these two films, cough cough, Daniel Day Lewis movie…cough, cough… changes it’s date and hopefully title name.
Daniel Day Lewis may keep the date in December if he thinks he has a shot at an Oscar. December is Oscar season… and well… he IS Daniel Day Lewis.
9 looks awsome! Hopefully I should be back from the desert just in time.
