Wolverine Button… different endings?

Published by junkfx under Uncategorized Edit This

While Fox lied about having the additional 10 minutes of footage in the theatrical version copared to the leaked workprint that was released a month ago, it seems the director has leaked info about the movie’s button (or, short tag at the end of the credits).

One informant from a sneak preview says there was a 25-30 second scene starring my main man, Deadp Pool.  However, the director says there will be more than one of these and I am guessing it is depending on what day you see it and in what region or theater you see it in.

Look for them to be online soon.

Tom Hanks See Toy Story 3

Tom Hanks reveals to Empire that before he even did one word of voice work he got to watch the whole film. Hanks says:

“They did an interesting thing on this one. They did not send us a script. They showed us a complete story reel of the entire movie, with storyboards moving from one to the next, and the people up at Pixar recorded some voices with some music and sound effects. Tim Allen and John Ratzenberger and I went in a movie theatre, watched the reel and said, ‘This is great, let’s get to work!’”

Leaked Wolvie Workprint… same movie as the theatrical?

The leaked Wolverine workprint film on April 1st was a big deal, but Fox played it off like there wasn’t much to worry about since the workprint was “15 minutes shorter and missing key frames”… pretty much saying, this is no where near the same film you will see in theaters.

AICN found out that the running time of the workprint was 107 minutes… and the running time of the theaterical print is… 107 minutes. “The workprint version IS in fact identical to the release print, sans effect and some audio work.” I understand that Fox was just trying to keep people from watching the pirated version of the movie, but did they really need to lie? And apparently the unfinished special effects don’t even look so great in their finished form Veritas says that “the finished effects are lackluster, to say the least - some really bad CGI work made me groan numerous times.”

Did Fox lie? Cocksmokers.

Ritiland reviews Zohan

Published by junkfx under Reviews - New Edit This

So kill me. I liked this movie.

The digital work sucked, like the cat that’s being hacky-sacked. The
feet kicking the face.

But I loved the sexual innuendos (in your endo!) with the hair
cutting, especially when he spit the conditioner into her hair, that
was a bit yucky. I wonder what they were using for that… I can’t
imagine Adam Sandler actually putting hair conditioner in his mouth.
Or lotion or whatever. It must be some kind of coconut syrup or
something. But that’s the not the point… actually, he probably would
do it. If any actor would, it’s him.

I liked the bulge in the pants. I liked how awesome his fighting was.
Or rather, the stunt’s fighting. I love the business named “Going out
of business” and Mariah Carey. She was pretty funny in it, but I do
still get the impression that she’s a stuck up bitch. She seems like
one of those women who’s like, “Oh I’ll totally be in the next Happy
Madison movie, because I need to make a comeback and that’s the type
of movie people wouldn’t expect me in. I’ll catch them off guard with
how awesome I look now that I’m not crazy and how I still like
butterflies, and they’ll fall in love because I’m hot as well as
clever. Why else would I be in a movie with Adam Sandler if I’m not
funny?” I’ll tell you why. She’s shtupping the director. Or maybe the
Janitor… that’d probably be enough to get her into this movie. Yuck.
I bet he wasn’t even good looking. And I bet she doesn’t get that
comeback she’s looking for.

All in all, it was fun to watch, but definitely not one of Adam
Sandler’s best. I enjoy his pre-Anger Management days myself, although
I did enjoy him in Spanglish and 50 First Dates. But he’d be smart not
to follow this slapstick, over the top goofy path too far. I like him
best when he’s witty and not appealing to children (like in Click and
Bedtime Stories, eh, Junk??)

Now I’m off to watch Bugs Bunny cartoons compiled with Road Runner
cartoons into a 1979 full length feature “movie.” This sounds
exciting.

Film Munkey Episode II: Watchmen

Published by junkfx under Uncategorized Edit This

Some of us here at JunkFilm have teamed up to make a monthly web show, which we would like to make bimonthly, about our favorite topic: Movies.  While episode 1 showed us the anger and lethargy of our writing staff, episode 2 will dive deeper in to our creative side.  With more to come and more ideas a brewing, we hope you like Film Munkey as much as we like making it.

X-Men Prequel - First Class

Published by junkfx under Movie News Edit This

Months ago there were rumors circling around that Gossip Girl/O.C. creator Josn Schwartz had been hired to write a screenplay that focused on “the other teenage characters attending the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning” in the upcoming adaptation of Marvel Comic’s X-Men: First Class.  Apparently, the project is not a spin-off like the Wolverine and upcoming Magneto films, but isntead, a full titled prequel to the X-Men films.  Lauren Shuler Donner, producer from the X-Men franchise revealed on Fox Movie Channel’s Life After Film School that the film actually focuses on “the first class of Xavier’s school, way back when.”

“So it’s young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that’ll be really fun,Donner said. “I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world. And hopefully First Class will become its own franchise and we can follow them as they grow up.”

I gotta say, I’m upset. As cool as it would be to see the origins of these guys, it would be far cooler to discover the lesser known names of the Marvel Universe. We all know Scott and Jean, we’re tired of them. They are old characters. Why not spice things up a little with Domino or Cable or Agent X or the Runaways or Moon Knight or Cloak and Dagger?

You can’t tell me Moon Knight wouldn’t make a killer movie. And a Runaways Showtime show? Awesome. So, thanks FOX, once again for ruining a good thing.

No, we won’t review Wolverine.

Published by junkfx under Movie Talk Edit This

By now, you all know that the upcoming action monster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has been leaked online in a DVD-quality workprint.  We have received quite a few emails asking us to review the film.  But this has to stop.

At this juncture, the only way to review the film is to download it illegally, and this is not what we stand for.  We will ahppily review the film when we can watch it like everyone else in the theater, but refuse, outright, to be a part of the problem.

While online distribution is the way of the future, without a doubt, seeing this movie now, as Dark Horizons puts it is ” an act that cruelly robs thousands of people of not just months of hard effort, but their potential livelihood as well.”  All the crew who took their time and effort to make the film only to have the movie posted early, pre-Chroma keying and special effects, is damaging the workforce we all want to be in.

Now, this wouldn’t be JunkFilm without our hatred boiled to a rolling steam… so fuck FOX.  They are cock smokers.  But this still doesn’t excuse the fact that this situation sucks.  So, please, no more emails requesting us to review the movie, no one on our staff will review the film until we can see it in theaters… with all that added DeadPool loving.
